Packaging tips

  • Wrap the item in tissue paper, newspaper or old clothes.
  • Choose a rigid, good quality, corrugated cardboard box. If you’re reusing a box, be sure to remove old shipping labels or cover up old addresses.
  • Surround the items with cushioning material (like bubble wrap) on the top, bottom and all sides to limit movement and protect the item. There should be no room for shifting inside the box.
  • Close the box with reinforced tape.
  • Tape all seams with tape.

  • It is the responsibility of the client to make sure their parcel is properly packed for shipment.

  • Polimex will not be liable for damage to or loss of goods caused or contributed to by defects in the packaging.

  • We recommend using a standard card board box.
If you would like to send your belongings in non-standard packaging (other than cardboard box) for example in a plastic container please contact us at parcel@polimex.com.

  • Wooden crates are acceptable but not recommend. If you are using a wooden container you must make sure the wood is certified and accepted in the destination country.
